Dolorès Marat

(b.1944)

“As soon as I feel an emotion in relation to something I see, I photograph it, no matter where I am.”

Dolorès Marat's work (magnified by Atelier Fresson prints - "au charbon" in “Mille rêves”, her last exhibition in Paris March 2015) makes you dive into photography as a poetic and onirique trip. It's all about the story she doesn't tell. Her memory.
Dolorès Marat retraces her rich path and evokes both the joy that photography has given her throughout her life, and the emotion she needs to feel before pressing the shutter release, an emotion at the origin of each of her images.

shotnlust.com is a visual collection of Art stories:
Photo, Cinema, ShortArt.s, Dance

At the beginning it was the idea of building a small arts library. Then, little by little, the commitment to share it.
Choice, preference, ignorance, evidence, all assumed.
A desire to discover, an encouragement to remember. Sometimes.
